Default Shhhhhh.... Keep it quiet.

Yeah - haven't heard much about Peugeot elsewhere, but I thought it was interesting.

Peugeot made the official ALMS pre-season testing at Sebring. And they absolutely rocked the track. The Peugeot lapped the 3.7 mile circuit in 1.42.801.

1.42.801...

That's not chump change. Over two seconds faster than last year's LMP1 class pole position time and .7 seconds faster than the best time established by Audi (Allan McNish at the wheel).

Not sure if they will actually come to compete elsewhere in the season yet, but damn - if they do that could make for some interesting racing! Could you imagine the reaction by Porsche and Audi if the crazy Frenchies showed up to play? I think we'd see some good competition both on the track and from the engineering folks of each team....

Yeah, Sebring should be an excellent race...sadly I look for this to be a one-off for Peugeot with ALMS with them returning to Europe for the Le Mans series which normally starts in mid-April.

This looks to be the most exciting season yet. Aston's comin' back to GT1, Corvette Racing is going to cellulosic ethanol, and Audi is going biodiesel for the 24 Hours.

Also: GO PENSKE!

Not for the whole season (I think they ran diesel for the majority of the season last year with bio-d only at one or two events).

Wonder if the Audi will smell like McDonald's french fries or Taco Bell nachos when it goes around the tracks?

Audi ran the diesel all year last year.
The Pugs are definately a one-off for Sebring unfortunately. Maybe they will be back for Petit.

I really hope Dyson can step up to Penske's level, given another year with the Spyder, and a solid lineup as usual.

GT1 is a joke, the Vettes will dominate. The DBR9 will be back, but essentially in the hands of a "customer" team, and they will be decent, but I don't see them beating Pratt & Miller this year.

GT2 is going to be a war as usual, hopefully the Llizards can take the fight to Risi, and Panoz can win one more before it is put out to pasture after this year.

A few Creations, and Lolas at Sebring will make for some fun times too.
