no tripod for any of those photos, i usually only use a tripod for real dark lighting/ night shots/ and experimental photos.

We went to the zoo the other day and almost everything is behind glass. Looks like your zoo's more open. Did you use a zoom lens or the kit one?

Is that 75-300 the IS version? What's your take on that lens. I assume you used it for the zoo shots.

I've got one of the 28-135 IS lenses and I wish I'd have gotten the 75-300 instead. On my XTi it gets out there, but not as far as I'd like. I'd really like to get my hands on some L series glass, but no budget for that now.

No it's not the IS lense, just the regular 75-300... much cheaper! I think it was only like $249 or $299 at bestbuy. I wanted the IS version, but it was a few hundred dollars more.

All-in-all, I'm pretty happy with this one though


and yep, all the zoo shots were with that lens.
