One more win - that's 4 for 4, and he won Rookie of the Year...

September 14, 2007. Richmond, CA -- The Hankook United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) took a big step forward by announcing a new television package that will broadcast selected races on cable television with the new program Final Drive shown in tape delay format. Until now the races were shown in quick highlight format on the Internet. Starting with the Buttonwilllow race on October 13-14, 2007 the races will be shown on cable TV in selected California markets. With the start of the 2008 season, the races will also be shown on more Internet channels as well. Currently, USTCC enjoys a partnership with WheelsTV where one can watch all of the action. In 2008, one will also be able to watch the races on many other video sites as well as many magazine sites such as Grassroots Motorsports magazine’s website.

The 30 minute weekly show will seen by over 3,000,000 households at the start and the number will go up as more stations pick up the show. It will cover the USTCC racing action and have special segments on drivers, teams and their cars. The first show is scheduled to air in November 2007.

For those living outside the California market, the entire 30 minute show will also be available to watch for free on the USTCC website (www.ustcc.com) and the Final Drive website (www.finaldrive.net). More information will be available as more details are finalized.

Though I am not in attendance, Strom Racing is up at Thunderhill this weekend racing BMWCCA. My dad will be racing the E30 M3 in J-Stock. My brother will be racing an E46 M3 in H-Prepared - someone wants him to try to set a class record for the track.

Here's a video from the previously mentioned Thunderhill weekend. This was a fun race in which the starting order was reversed from the finishing order in the previous race (last=first, first=last).

Brett decided to start at the very back of the pack, and try to get to first place in 1 lap. The video's name probably gives it away, but check it out!

Also, the car in front of him and next to him are the Evosport turbocharged cars that Randy was showing pictures of from SEMA. They, obviously, still have issues (smoke, lag) that need to be worked out, but they can be REALLY fast in a straight line.
