Thanks Ash! Sweet cake! So, did you just google "Hot man love cakes" and he popped up? I especially love how the decoration in the cake matches the plastic covering the cake board. That took some planning.

Nice fish wedding cake Mol! Was the couple just really into sea life?

Nah a friend of mine showed it to me on Cakewrecks cause she knew I'm a Magnum fan. (My Mom had/has a huge crush on Tom Selleck so me and my sis grew up watching Magnum P.I. all the time. )

Actually, I think a search for "hot man cakes" gives you a bunch of pictures of Konky...

The husband was a engineer on the boat and very into sailing. I made that as a wedding gift for them. It was in Chicago in Aug. and hot as hell. I had to drive at least an hour to deliver it ( no ac) and the entire side of one of the tiers slid off. Talk about stressful. I had to rebuild the cake when I got there. The pressure is intense cuz you want peoples wedding to be perfect. In the and it all worked out.

I made a MINI Cooper cake in 2008 for one of our SSM Picnic. HERE is the link with step by step directions for anyone interested. Click the image to open in full size.

Well after watching way too many "Ace of Cake" and Food Network Challenge, I decided to give fondant a try. Here is a garden theme cake I just made for my mother-in-law's birthday. I made my own Marshmellow fondant for this one.

Then I went out and bought some premade Fondant and made a MINI Cooper Cake using Fondant (this was for Roger's Deployment to the Middle East)
