Well Flat Black may officially be played out... Found a couple different Hot Wheels cars last night in Flat Black while strolling through Target.

yah....but its interesting that only a handful of flat cars showed up at SEMA. It's not nearly as played out as CF, Lambo doors, or Black/anthracite wheels.

I could actually never see it getting really played out....lambo doors and CF are clearly just fads...but the flat paint seems like such a style choice. I dont know

I still like flat colors and hopefully they won't become common place. It just tripped me out to see Hot Wheel's in flat. Let's hope it stays a rarity.

heck did you see they have rat rod/ hoodride VW diecast cars with full rust and slammed suspension? Someone is paying very close attention to everyone's styling cues

I bought a couple flat black hot wheels at Target last month, I'm becoming addicted to hot wheels lately, I can't leave Target or Walmart without buying at least one Hot Wheel

I don't think flat black paint jobs will become played out, they're a classic style that will be around for a while IMO
