Thanks guys!!! It's really great to have all your support...this never would have happened without MU.

I definitely like the idea of having the option to add money to an order to go to a charity as well (hadn't thought of that). I'll have to make a monster status pole, one for money raised and the other for monsters donated.
now to pic a charity I feel passionate about. If anyone has suggestion feel free to let me know. I think I could pick 2 charities. One that receives monsters and one that receives money

since I'm a hair stylist & my sister had alopcia(sp?). I wouldn't mind the $ charity to be related to hair, but it probably won't be locks of love, they have plenty of advertising, there are smaller ones for adults that no one has ever heard of that need the help more, so it would be nice for the kids to get toys and adults get wigs

Well there is the one that people donate their hair to for people that get Chemo. And they make the wig out of the hair, so there is that, have to find it out. I'll get back to you.

Yes, Alopecia Areata is the name for those that lose their hair. One of my best friends has a daughter that is totally bald, no hair, no eye brows, no eyelashes. She has a wig from Locks of Love, but I agree, there are adults that need them too. Heck, where I work, a lot of the women pay for hand made wigs, they cost a fortune. If you find some of the smaller organizations that help out cancer patients, let me know, I could give that info out to my patients.

Thanks, one of the girls at the firehouse did that. I couldn't do it, hair won't grow long enough, or straight for that matter

Any Children's Hospital would be a fantastic place to donate the Monsters to since there are sadly many kids that spend time there.
It would be fun and rewarding for you as you would be able to hand out the monsters to a child, document it and send the photo to the adopter?

Just an idea. Don't know if you have a CHildren's hospital near you. I know there is an amazing one here in Charleston at MUSC.

anyway.... really cool and cute little buggers.

HOW AWESOME!!!!!

This group is super cool. It is called Purple Songs Can Fly. It's kids with cancer or those with blood diseases that record songs and then send the CDs on airplanes and into space. Then the flight crew and/or passengers sign the CDs and they go back to the kids.

Great work there! and the charity idea is an awesome one, like Chris said, the MUSC Children's Hospital here in Charleston is one of the best, ( they just did life saving surgery on an Iraqi child that was brought here a few weeks ago, and they do that stuff all the time) I personally support the Ronald McDonald House since they do sooooo much for seriously ill children and their families. I'm sure any choice you make will be a great one!! Keep up the good work

that's water on the seat he didn't wet the seat.

Awesome work let us know when you have a charity cause. We have Childrens Memorial in Chicago if you need a place to send some for kids.
