Yeah I figured it had to be for Worthersee. Man what I wouldn't give to be there. The Speedhunters feature made me want to ship my car and drive through Europe so bad.

So a friend picked up some neon green sparco versions of the oz ultraleggera. Found out oz makes them, seems strange they would sell from what I can tell is an identical wheel under two different brand names for two different price points.

best application yet. but seriously, if they just made the faces protrude like 1/2 as much I think they could look amazing!

or even recess the face w/ a slant lip or something.

OZ is smarter than that. I can almost guarantee that the manufacturing process or materials has been changed to meet the lower price point. I'm sure they're still great wheels, but I'd put money on them being different.

It's rather common for the big companies to private label. Companies like Sparco have no manufacturing plant. BBS, Work, etc make a lot of wheels for other well known brands.

So the sparco is just a basic cast wheel (hence the price point)

The OZ ultraleggera is a special HLT process which is from OZ's F1 knowledge. It's basically a low pressure flow form process and then they roll the barrels after to the desired width. It makes a cast wheel that's close in property to a forged wheel. Stronger and lighter than your regular everyday cast wheel.

They look rather different as well.

Thanks Rally. Figured it was a different process/quality of production and I hadn't noticed the difference, side by side it's pretty pronounced .

Without actually comparing, I think all OZ wheels look exactly the same so I totally understand
