Default Anyone have diminished value claim experience?

So, my 951 got hit in the side by a blind old man. His insurance is paying and I'm getting a total respray which I should be happy about, but my car has never been wrecked or repainted and the original paint was in really great shape. With 951 prices on what seems to be a pretty rapid rise I'm afraid my unmolested car has taken a pretty good hit on future value. Do any of you guys have any experience with claiming lost value on an older car?

First make sure that you can claim it in your state. Then establish a value with and without damage. Then be ready to fight with the insurance company when they balk or tell you they don't cover it. You may wind up having to take them to court. You may also not want to agree to any repair without your diminished value claim being a part of the settlement already.

Damn, that is bummer... Hopefully you can get some action with the diminished value claim.
