I like the RB's well enough but would like to find something more rare and unique. And not a rep hahaha. For the price I paid with tires, these couldn't be beat though. I considered spacing out the stock snowflakes but they're just so narrow. And I don't really like the new wide ones as much.

A lot of the Vortexers will say that BBS RAs are overdone, but I say there is a good reason they are so popular! As far as unique, I dunno. I've been trying to get a set of OEM MINI 16" steelies from this Craigslist flake in East Hartford for a month now. I might paint them silver, get MINI One centercaps and use them (for summer) on my Cooper. Or more likely put them in the basement for when I finally find a Rabbit.

Default 1988 vw Azur

I enjoyed seeing your photos of the cabriolet. I have a 1988 Azur as well. I had the body fully restored two years ago and replaced the fabric in the two front seats. Also rebuilt the front drivers seat where the padding had been worn down.
Do you have the Azur decal on the side of your car? I had my painter replicate the decal design so I would still have it. I took photos of the body restoration and plan to post them.
My roof is original and leaks if it rains really hard. I park it indoors always and store it for the winter. i agree, the odometer only works when it feels like it.
Enjoy your cabbie, mine will be out of storage in April, can't wait to drive it again.

Hi, No I don't still have the Azur decals. Could you take a picture of yours? I've never been able to get a good view of them. Mine needs some body work as it's got some rust just under the windshield. Presently ours has an engine smoking issue (hopefully just from sitting undriven for a while) I need to sort out before I feel comfortable driving it again. Hopefully that won't be anything major and we can get it back on the road.
