Things have not gone to plan...

Due to me losing my job the car was due to go back, I worked a deal out to buy the car from the company and all was set for this Friday, but last week when I filled the car with fuel I noticed a small drip just in front of the rear wheel, turned out the breather pipe had rubbed a hole through against the chassis, got it booked in and upon stripping it down it turned out the fuel tank was also damaged, this pushed the repair cost over 1000, the boss said no and the garage offered to buy the car for the amount I was going to pay but also wipe the repair cost. So as of today with 193,396miles on the clock Sharky is no longer in my care It was fun while it lasted.

Damn. Sounds like that could have been an expensive car to hang onto. Maybe a blessing in disguise.

Sorry to hear you had to let Sharky go.
Look on the bright side though, at least you were able to own one at all...

So sorry to hear man, that is one of my favorite car models to date. I hope someday to get to see one in person

Two and a bit years later I'm back behind the wheel of a BMW

Without even trying I've ended up in Sharky Mk2!

this time its a 118d with a few nice options like H/K and xenons, not got a huge amount planned for it, other than drive it! I will be sourcing some winter tyres on some 16" wheels either black steels again of see what ebay can deliver.

Here it is parked with the rest of the fleet

It'll easily do 220bhp / 420Nm with 120d injectors, big downpipe and a turbo...

Whilst I like the idea, the chocolate timing chain issue on the n47 engine means its staying stock and with a warranty while I own it.

Thanks for the feedback, it's a really nice place to be, whilst being big enough to fit James' recaro baby seat in the back and the matching stroller in the boot - got to start him off at some point!

I may have started picking up the odd BBS split rim for it
Gone for the RC041/42 that came on the e36 328i sport over here, might face mount the centres and add some colour
