If only. The Cabby had a top constructed mostly of duct tape and it leaked like a a submarine with a screen door. New top is the only real fix.

Ugh, that sucks. Good looking car though. Should be a fun project!

Great car. I once had a 87 5 series. Loved that car alot. I you going to change colors ,or keep it red? Convertible top color choices are endless. Great project. Looking forward to its progress.

Everything I've been researching says they're the way to go. Plus I can have the struts shortened and I can choose my own spring rates

Nice ride. Did they make any factory hardtops or not since there was a sedan available? I know that on my dad's old spitfire, the hardtop was great throughout the winter, and the softtop only came into play April through October.

BTW, I am impressed. Not many people can sell off their BMW MINI and look out at their driveway afterwards to see BMW Mini still there...

Hardtops are out there, they're just not easy to find.

Nice find. This the one you picked up in Aiken? My father-in-law owned the same car, though I believe it had a tan interior.

Yep, a 7 hour round trip to get it. Hopefully it was worth it.

Yeah the odometer is broken. The previous owner failed to mention that. The entire car is stock.
