I'll be honest... Cannondales are pretty nice, but I'll probably never buy one because I'm not really into paying extra money for a brand just because of their name. It's just like Oakley for me.

maybe because of his sponsorship deal?

actually they seem like pretty good bikes and C'dale has been around for a long time but there are many smaller manufacturers I would choose over Giant, Trek, Cannondale, Specialized, etc... like Titus, Santa Cruz, Turner (which I ride), etc...

Yeah, I hear ya Marcel... I'm in the same boat. Transition bikes is a small company that nobody really knows about, but makes amazing bikes.

I look at it a little differently I guess. I don't look at it as paying for the "name", but supporting their racing and development programs. This train of thought is why I chose to go with AC Schnitzer parts on my other car rather than Hamann, Hartge, Breyton, etc. who have no real motorsports programs but charge similar prices for their stuff.

I have absolutely no problem going with a small company if they have the features I'm looking for as long as the price is appropriate. I just don't know of any around here???

I love all kinds of racing/competition and don't mind supporting the companies that fuel my passion when I can.

Intense, Felt, etc.

My roommate/trail bud has a Santa Cruz Blur, sooo nice. I picked my Specialized hardtail for the bang:buck factor. My next bike will be full sus and be SC, Intense or Felt though.
