Default Projector Fog Lights (1st Gen)

These are back on e-bay, so I wanted to pass it along.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-MINI-Coo...7cdd69&vxp=mtr

The old link is no good anymore so I can't cross reference to see if they are the same as the ones I have or not, but if so here's the skinny.
-Metal Housings
-Glass Lenses
-Straight Swap, Perfect Fit

IMO these are far superior to the OEM fog lights, they can be used with the factory bulbs but of course are perfect for an hid upgrade for your fogs.

If you match these with a DDM hid kit, you're looking at just at or under $200.00 complete, shipping and all.

**These and an hid kit are also perfect for the person who wants the visibility of hid, without having to change your halogen headlights and/or didn't want to put hid bulbs in a regular halogen housing to not bother oncoming traffic.**

Does this kit require you to have the OEM fog light kit installed already?

It's not a kit, just a pair of replacement housings,

But as long as you have the openings in the bumper cover you should be able to mount them, buy an hid kit and wire them like you would a pair of aux driving lights.
(I'm not sure but I believe non-OEM fog light cars still use the same bumper & core support, so all the ness. mounting surfaces should be the same as the fog light cars, but maybe someone else knows for sure.)

Nice! I always wanted the lower fog lights.

So your saying that i could wire these up with an HID kit without having the factory wiring for the factory fogs?

Yes, the DDM kits just require a 12v & ground, so you would just wire them like aux lights.

I installed these as well last year. Great fit, got a HID kit that was direct plug and play.
Simple install, perfect fit and they look great.

Nice! Makes me want them even more since I just took off my factory grill fogs.
