Default Compomotive & RSL Tarmac Pictures

Any chance anyone has pictures of a Mini with either the Compomotive MO1681 wheels or the fifteen52 RSL Tarmac wheels mounted? I've done a few searches for some but cant seem to come up with anything. I'm a bit more interested in the MO1681s, but they are also the higher priced wheel out of the two. Thanks in advance!

I've got the Comps in my garage for post-winter. I'll toss em back on and shoot you a pick.

Thanks a lot! Looking forward to the pictures.

This is the only shot of a MINI on Fifteen52 Tarmac's that I've seen so far:

Thanks for the shots so far guys. Not sure how I feel about them so far. Problem is I'm looking to mount a tire with a wider sidewall, so that's effecting how I'm seeing those two sets.

Mine had a short tirewall because they came of a VW. We were just messing around one afternoon.

The other one looks to be a 45 sidewall on a 17. You're not going to get much more sidewall on a 17 on a MINI. I've never seen someone run a 50.

I feel like that sidewall looks smaller than a 45. Any explanation for why a 45 sidewall can look thick on some setups and thin on others?

tread width

a 215/45 is going to have a higher sidewall than a 205/45 is, since the 45 equals "45% of the width of the tread"

Completely forgot about that! That now looks like an embarrassing question to ask haha

Even then, you're not going to want much more sidewall than that. That's a lot of sidewall for a 17. Those are likely a 205/45/17, so you might get a little more sidewall with a 215/45/17, but you don't want to step up to a 205/50 or 225/45.

Understood. I was actually pricing out 16" wheels when thinking about the thicker sidewall. I've been back and forth between more wheel/less tire and less wheel/more tire. I'm leaning towards less wheel/more tire at this point, but those Rotiform's in the for sale section are making that difficult.

Any luck getting your wheels back on for some pictures? Don't mean to rush, just excited to check them out!

I did catch that. Thanks for posting them over here. I'm 50/50 on those wheels. I like the 5 star pattern and the look it gives the rest of the car, but the complete lack of a lip leaves me longing for a little more from the wheel.
