I got into the demo last night (didn't have time Tuesday) and it's a bit more in depth than the demo I played at PAX.
The biggest difference in this game is that it's not 100% Forza. This really is a FM/NFS hybrid game. The physics are good and more towards the FM side but are a lot more arcadey than I am used to from a FM game. Drifitng in this game is stupid easy in pretty much any of the 3 cars (a viper, a mustang and an evo) to the point that it almost felt like one of the DIRT games.
The demo gives off a vibe like NFS Pro Street in a way that it seems to emphasize the big car culture type event with the opening cutscene focusing more on the carnival like atmosphere than anything else.
Still it felt like a fun game to spend time in driving, more like older NFS games instead of the most recent crop and with a good physics base that's not all arcadey.
Honestly I'm up in the air about this game. I'm burned out on the FM sim franchise mainly because it's been so much rehash over the last 2 games, and with a new NFS Most Wanted on the way it's a tough call right now. More than likely I will wait on this and see if there is a holiday season price drop and pick it up then.

I just got the game...not much of a fan. I feel like I'm playing need for speed underground without the Goddy body kits. I like the idea of free roaming around but I miss the whole track aspect. Its okay in my opinion.

What's the online like? I cancelled my xbox live renewal after I finally grew tired of playing Streetfighter 4. Do other people online appear in your game when you're driving to your next challenge?

I've already played all the others lol, I had fun w/ the NFS series, as long as I'm not angry that its not FM3/FM4 I'm generally content.

the only real annoying stuff are the lack of details and more fast travelling. having to cruise around to find stuff can get annoying.

Played the demo, not impressed at all. They could have made the game a lot better than it is.

Everyone I know that bought it has already traded it in. I don't need any more NFS style games.
