Default Pyrotect helmets

Anyone have one of these? I just ordered up a Pyrotect Pro Airflow full face in carbon fiber for a ridiculously good price.

Regular price is $625, and I got it for $477 shipped. It's light (3.2 lbs for large), SA2010 certified (so good for at least five years, which is as long as you should ideally use a helmet before replacement), pre-drilled for HANS, and has removable and interchangeable lining and cheek padding so that you can wash it and/or resize it for a custom fit. There's also a version with a duckbill spoiler for any open cockpit peeps. Here's the product listing:

For the sweet pricing, go here and enter 2014helmetsale as the coupon code at checkout:

Let's hope this thing fits my giant dome piece.

I thought CF shatters on impact. Wouldn't that make it a bad material for a helmet?

It's not like CF shatters like glass when hit...it just kinda cracks and breaks, but that would take a serious hit. It's still capable of providing a very strong shell to offer protection. If it's capable as a race chassis material, it can probably protect your head

Most race helmets at this point are CF I believe.
