yes fixed lens. Konky showed me "his" at MOTD, got my thinking... this one for the Nikon is around $110... should have bought one years ago

(on DSLR cameras with a smaller sensor a 50mm lens becomes something like 70mm, keep that in mind)

Awesome prime for portraits on a DX sensor digital. I have one and love it! Don't use it as much as I should, but I don't photograph many humans/animals these days...
