I don't think there is a bolt in for the R56 yet.

The autopower looks good. I like the Race series like yours ... question thou .. where do the rear downtubes attach?

Someone recommended the Safety Devices roll bar:

Which I really like how it mounts. So far thou I have only seen it for sale for close to $800 + shipping (so $950ish) which at the price there was a guy in so cal that quoted me $1000 for a full custom one.

Weichers makes(made?) roll bars for r50/53's with the x-brace. They also came polished which would be perfect for your color combo and would save you the cost of painting. They list them as available for the r56 now, but i haven't seen any pics

They offer different versions ranging from that (sport bar) all the way up to complete cage. I'm pretty sure they offer one with a harness bar. I just couldn't find pics of it installed.

Whichever you go with, make sure it has a LARGE mounting plate that is backed by a matching plate on the other side of the sheet metal. A roll bar will do you no good if the plate is too small and it just tears through your sheet metal in an accident.

Mine is made by Built By Bones (Bones Barclay, I believe). I'm not sure if they (he) are still making bars though, and they never had much of a web presence.

Custom really is the best way to go, assuming you can find a good builder.

I contacted these guys:

http://www.l-con.net/services.cfm

to see what they would charge. I saw the work they did on a 350Z and it was awesome.

I have the autopower. i like it. some people dont.

I have seen the safety devices roll bar in Gnatsters car. its really nice.

There is also built by bones. not my favorite, but it is also an option.

there are a few others i cant think of right now

then there is a custom job which is always an option and sometimes the best option for the money.

I have the autopower race roll bar, and i am getting it welded in just for piece of mind. Sometime this fall i am having the full cage finished out by a custom guy in Texas. I know all the bad stuff about busting your head and all that so whateva.

I was reading time attack forums and saw that you were looking into roll bars.
What ever you do. u need a polished bar. that would be sooo freaking sick.

Here is the 4-point by Sneed Speed Shop it is a weld-in as the rear down tubes connect to the boxed portion that the rear sub frame, gas tank are mounted around making it very structural.
