picked up a D16 for the classic. It had a spun crank bearing so i bought a new crank and King Racing bearings for it. Ill will take pics when i can get it in the garage and on the stand. the engine came with everything including the tranny and shift linkage and harness haha. Im super pumped to build this thing. This will be the first engine build i do myself.

So far just planning on a light build with ITB's

Are you talking about "finished, as in registered and street legal" or "finished, no more work done other than minor tinkering?" My plan is to be street legal by Christmas...depending on employment status.

Im talking street legal. This thing doesnt have any interior, i mean i literally only have engine, tranny accessories (D16z6), full shell, gas tank and thats it. Since my other mini is priority, and my daily driver needs some little things. The classic is last on the list mainly because it is meant for me to just take my time and build it over the years as a side love.

My current priority is to have my R53 done by May next year, that is turbo stuff all done and tuned (driveable anywhere) Finish cage, roof swap, wide arches on, and a few other goodies. When all that is done, the classic will step up in priority haha (unless i turbo my e36)

Sounds like a similar story with my DeLorean project. That's currently sidelined until I make some room to bring it home. It's sitting at my friend's house as well as its parts car and my Impala SS. It used to be my daily driver until the motor blew. I built a 396 stroker for it and then the economy nearly wiped out my company so it's been sitting for a few years. My daily driver is only getting very minimal tweaks as I may be picking up a new daily driver this week. What I really need to do in the meantime is sell my Clubman and maybe the G wagon to free up cash. Then I'll be able to get the pedal assembly for my Mini as I've got just about everything to make it street legal right now.

No BS, I'll take $12k right now. It doesn't have a U.S. title yet, but in FL all you need is a bill of sale, VIN verification and an appraisal (all done) in order to pay the tax man. If I don't get serious interest in it this week I'll be registering it and slapping a FL tag on it...and raising the price by whatever I get charged.

Staying on topic...I'd like to see the D Series install. I know my B-series with stock sheet metal is TIGHT to say the least! I am not a fan of fiberglass front ends so I'll be keeping my steel panels (and replacing them as soon as the car is street legal).

Long time since updates here.

Ill post pics as soon as I upload them.

the D16 high comp build is almost complete. It is being built by Aaron (Professor)

I stripped the car down of a lot of its metal, dropped it off at my buddies shop for panel replacement and he has started. Again, Ill post pics soon.

I also picked up a 78 clubman with a 1275 swap. I have been working to get that on the road as well. Pics and thread to follow.
