Next up, getting rid of the silly silver interior trim. I think it's the worst factory trim they ever sold. So I'm having it wrapped. I'm going to think on it for a few days, but right now I'm torn between the 3M 1080 carbon fiber vinyl or gloss black vinyl. I have real carbon fiber on the hood scoop, and I'll be doing the mirrors in it too soon. The look of the carbon wrap looks cool in its own way, but you'd never mistake it for real carbon fiber. Gloss black gets around the problem of fake stuff and it'll look slick for sure. I plan on doing an Alcantara color line kit in the future and the gloss would probably look better with that. But anyway, I took a sample of the carbon to compare in the car. I'm sure you can imagine what the gloss black looks like.

Any of you have experience with wrapping interior trim? What did it cost you? I got a quote of $350 including tax and materials.

I think the Fifteen52s are way underrated. And I'm thinking gloss black is probably the way to go too.

Yeah the price feels a little high to me too. It would be the dash bits and the door ovals. Those are big and unwieldy. Supposedly I'm getting the neighbor price for living so close to the shop, and he claimed they charge $1500 for a Range Rover interior wrap of all the wood trim or whatever. Granted it's many more pieces than mine, but it sounds like he's ripping off those poor (gullible?) people. I've never gotten a vinyl quote before though so I don't have much to compare to. It smelled a little fishy to me though, that's why I walked away to think about it and put it to you fine underground folks.

So you think it seems reasonable? They may need to take door panels off and stuff just to get at all the bits. It probably makes sense. It's a lot of labor.

Now I just have to decide between gloss black and carbon fiber. Here's a better preview of the carbon:

Yeah seems reasonable with that much stuff. I paid about $80 for my wifes R53 dash wrap since I didn't want to mess with argyle and curves. I wrapped my own dash for the cost of the vinyl. I thought about doing the door curved pieces but to do it right in my mind would have meant a single piece per door and the bigger the vinyl the more expensive it gets

Ah....CCW Classics. I miss my sets...

Seeing my friend's CCW's in this anodized blue really makes me want to take the plunge a 3rd time around...

Whoa those look damn good all blue. I wouldn't have taken that bet, and I would've been wrong.

This weekend I installed the factory blackout headlight and tail light trim rings. I was afraid they wouldn't match my Astro Black well enough, but it worked out great. I love the effect. It gives the front a slightly meaner look without going too blacked out.

In the last week I got a quote on Rotiform Race SJCs and ROCs. I'm leaning towards the SJCs. They're like a cleaner more modern BBS RS. Plus they're only 14 pounds. So I made some more mockups.

I haven't seen either of these wheels on Minis yet. Have you guys seen any?

Well, I'm ordering the SJCs in a finish I hadn't thought of. Rotiform suggested brushed with tinted clear coat. They'll be mine in 10 weeks. It's gonna be a hard wait.

In the meantime, does anybody know how to take a poll off a thread? I can't seem to figure it out.
