thanks all! for those who want to know, the boost gauge was installed per this thread on NAM. I purchased the exact same parts as listed and only slightly modified the bracket. Unfortunately AutoMeter doesn't have a chrome gauge bezel to match the chrome inside my car, the polished bezel for the closest I could get. For the lighting I used a red bulb, as the amber led was not bright enough and the orange bulb too yellow. I can understand that people don't like the different lighting compared to the factory stuff but to me the contrasting look is fine...

speaking of the Garage, with all the snow & ice outside I've been using my gas guzzling 4wd suv since Friday so I checked to see if things were OK in the garage and my MINI did look a little lonely. Maybe the 13 second expore made him feel better

finally the roads have dried up so I went for a spirited sunday drive after selecting a few good looking roads on the topo map... turned out the roads delivered and the car felt in its element; a good number of 3rd and 4th gear twists and turns, the koni coil-overs feel great at the current setting. stiff but with lots of feedback and the car can easily be controlled through the trottle. ride height seems good as well with only the occasional tire rub but no bottoming out... I love my Milltek catback; just loud enough to really enjoy going through the gears but not too loud to get a headache after 5 hours of driving; sometimes I wish for a louder exhaust but drives like today proof it was a good choice... car felt strong but with temps just aboving freezing it's probably at its best... oh yeah the JCW leather/alcatara steering wheel feels great...

all in all...

another photo from last Sunday... I stopped at this cool looking gas station, in Cogar Oklahoma, and took a bunch of pics... didn't find out until the next day that this building was used in the 1988 movie Rainman... it was established on March 25, 1902, and discontinued September 30, 1954, and served as post office, general store and gas station... it's also my first attempt at using layers in Photoshop; I converted it to b&w and then brought back some of the color - mostly rust
