Thanks guys...

Plans?

Hmm...Recarco CS, Coilovers, rear swaybar, JCW steering wheel, turbo heat-shield (or cooling diverter from scoop) and perhaps a tune....

The JCW's pull pretty nicely out of the box!

July...feels like ages away!

UK seems to be the place to own one - there's stacks more 123d tuning up there!

Yah..spent a bit of time on there....and on 1addicts...obviously not many people talk about diesels on 1addicts because it's mainly Americans...babybmw's a bit underwhelming to be honest...

So - the saga of Tit-Wagon Mk2.0 begins....with a whimper...

Leg one on the pain train
Since Easter, Bec's yellow R50 has been putting us through the ringer. First, the cooling system crapped out 9 hours drive from home. One week, 3 grand of repairs, hirecars and burnt up leave later we picked it up for the long drive home.

Leg two on the pain train
Driving out of the service dept driveway, the next problem became clear....the dreaded Midlands noise reared it's nasty head. So - fast forward past the 9 hour drive home, we dropped it off at the local dealer. Man....we had to return the R50 FOUR TIMES before they got the repair right. Plus another 2 grand down the gurgler...

Leg three on the pain train
On the third return of the R50, my sales guy told me I'd have to wait another six-eight weeks extra for my 123d - until the end of August!! Enough was enough. I started the hunt for the car I actually wanted - a second hand 135i...

Leg four on the pain train
....and I found one - in another town six hours drive north of Sydney. It was second-hand, and the dealership selling it was fantastic. Put fresh run-craps on the car and everything. They even paid for Bec and I to fly up, including a night of accom and an A4 wagon to get around it while we were there! Great customer service! The next day we collected the baby bimmer and headed South to Sydney...

Bec driving the new(ish) rocket...

Well...why was this a leg also a ride on the pain train?

The next day...check engine light...loss of power.....towed.....given a hire-car....and return home with my tail between my legs....

Anyway...the symptoms are consistent with high-pressure fuel-pump failure. I'm sure most of you know that HPFP failure almost a certainty on N54 engines....

But come-on!! Just AFTER ONLY ONE DAY OF OWNING IT?!?! #@$#@($#*$(#@*(@@(!!!!!!

Any sane person would have walked away from BMW by now....maybe I'm a sadist...
