Default Dyno Runs 11.17.07

Well, I guess I was the only MCS to show up to MachV on Saturday. I may have missed PGT, I can't remember what time I got there but it was way before my slotted time. I'm gonna guess I was there around 10:00.

Just so you know I felt like the underdog in a field of Hp monsters. I was constantly hearing numbers ranging from 277-310 and up. The cars that showed were STI's, a Legacy, Evo's, an M3, Mazda 6 (can't remember if it was a speed6), an RSX S, and a few others.

Dan and MachV, thanks for a fun day!

03 MCS l 96,500+ miles l Stock Hp was rated at 163 (crank)

Current engine and efficiency mods are.

ALTA 15% Redux Pulley
ALTA 2% Crank Pulley
ALTA CAI w/ hose
ALTA Intercooler Diverter

After installing the 380s and an oil change my base pull looks to be about a max hp of 183 (6000rpm)

Click the image to open in full size. Click the image to open in full size.

After the tune I'm still maxing at about 183hp but the chart will show that I am making more hp through out the whole range up until the 183 mark then it just doesn't want to give anymore. But what counts for me is my torque is now up to 186 ft/lbs and it seems like a nice curve. I'm making more torque than I am hp hmmmm? It's all good with me. The throttle response is immediate just step on it and it goes. The torque always there right in my normal driving range.

Do I wish that I were making 200+hp? Hell ya! Do I care that I am not making 200+hp? Hell no! Is my car a totally different animal than when I drove to philly? Hell Ya! it feels like a different car. everything is immediate and smooth and totally rev happy.

Thanks Jan, Eric and Ralph.

Freakin Awesome!

The mods are below and I turned 99,750 miles on the drive yesterday.

ya, it's a whole lot smoother and just wants to rev. I may not have over 190 but it runs good to me.

Well it's been about a year since I posted up pics of Sparky, So Here goes.

What I've done since may 2007:
M7 Extreme Scoop
Vogtland Coilovers (switched from stock dampers and H&R springs)
Matte Black TDR Pro Race 1's w/ 215/45/17's ( I know they aren't much different than the Anthracite ones I had before. I do like the Black better.)
Cooper Side grills
De-badged "cooper S" and "S" logos
JCW 380 injectors
RMW Tune

I keep looking at the old pics of when I first got my Anthracite TDR PRO Race 1's and keep asking myself...What the hell is going on with that wheel gap? and why didn't anyone tell me.

...those gap pics are stock suspension (before I put H&R springs).
