Default Importing autos from the UK

Anyone done it? I know we have the 25yr rule, but other than that, what else do we need to do other than get it in a container and having it shipped?

Looking to do this sometime next year, possibly sharing a container with a buddy.

Let me know any things to look for, helpful suggestions, and words of wisdom.

You need someone to trust over in the UK to pack it up...someone to deal with all the preparation...I don't know much about the laws in the states but when i had to get my machine over from Italy, there were plenty of things to do...but then again, it was a machine the size of 10 MINI's...oh and check it out with customs, see how much you need to fork over...seriously...

It can definitely be done, but it will be expensive. Like Louis said, check out the customs situation. It could be very cost prohibitive.
