Default FS: JCW, John Cooper Works, Recaro for an R56.

Its official. I am selling this to fund another project that has come around and will definitely be fun!

But up for sale, is my lightly used JCW Recaro seat from Europe. These are not available in the US, but the driver seat that I have is straight plug and play into the MINI R56 with NO ISSUES!

It took me about 45 minutes to swap over to this seat, and I have loved it since. Comfy, yet sporty, and is an over-the-top piece that is sure to get you props YO haha.

Its the better leather/alcantara combo seat, with the red and white "JCW By Recaro" embroidery in the middle back section. Wiring is literally plug-and-play for this seat for the HEATED SEAT unit and the factory side impact airbag built into it.

It was dailied now for about 4 months, but I was VERY meticulous about getting into and out of the car with this seat in it. You cannot even tell it is worn.

It will come with the seat, and Recaro seat bracket that is necessary (and from MINI) to bolt straight into your R56 with NO ISSUES.

You can quote yourself a new seat (mine is 4 months old), from one of the only sites to carry them...geniuneminiparts.

After the shipping charges (they only do air freight) and the currency conversion I paid just over $2K to get it shipped to my door. It has a 1 year warranty from MINI/BMW.

I am parting with this for $1600 plus shipping/3% Paypal Fee, firm.

This is a solid, extremely rare unit. Serious inquiries only please.

Interesting. I didn't realize the R56 Recaros had the airbags. If I recall correctly the R53 seats didn't have them... which, I thought, is why they didn't offer them in the US.

Pir8 97 your right about the airbag situation,
I dont think there is the required occupancy senor in the passenger seat to meet the regs for use in the US

Correct.

Mainly thats why I only have the drivers seat. The drivers seat is a plug and play situation as it has the side impact airbags and no weight sensor is required for the driver so it plugs right in. Only the passenger seat requires you to remove the weight sensor from the stock seat and put it into a JCW Recaro for a straight plug in situation.

Up. Guy decided to bail out at the last moment so its available to the first person. Whatever shipping costs are I will be packaging it in bags to seal it, and TONS of material to prevent damage with insurance for $2,000

To be honest Im not 100% sure but over on NAM I remember reading about some people retrofitting them in with littie issues.

I am sure one of the main issues is just the wiring pinout connector for the airbag/seat heater. If Chase can put in a Sparco bucket seat Im sure this would be a breeze haha

Oh BTW. I found a thread on NAM that shows them in an R53. They stated the ONLY thing they had to do was change a little wiring at the plug under the seat to make it all work in an R53!
