Ok I have always like super realistic HDR but sucked at it. The Photoshop CS2 merge to HDR is marginal and photomatix is a hundred bucks. The few times I used the trial of photomatix I wasn't pleased with the results. I figure it was the subject or the shots I was using not having enough actual dynamic range.
This weekend we went out with some friends to shoot the Minis and I took a series of 4 bracketed shots of our friends Subie in an alley and this morning made a fakie HDR using the bracketed shots on layers and playing with layer blending. I think it turned out pretty good. More evidence that this place makes you better ![]()

The whole thing looks way better than the day actually did. I was trying to enhance the realism while keeping it looking real. Guess it worked. I'm glad someone sees what I was going for.
