Default Anyone in Central Carolinas SCCA?

Thinking about getting into AutoX this year. The next event is Novice School at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill, SC on March 14. Just wondering if anyone is part of the Central Carolinas chapter or going to be at this event.

I know I'm not going to be competitive, but I figure Novice School is probably a good first event.

I'm not in the area, but a novice school will be great if this is your first crack at auto x. Good luck and remember to have fun.

This would indeed be my first auto x event - I figure this is a good introduction before I decide to get an SCCA membership or go to an actual competitive event. I've tried to read some autocrossing tips, but I feel like I'll probably end up doing myself a disservice. I don't want to overload my brain with information that I won't be able to use without a lot more experience.

Naw read up all you want. It'll be nice to have it in the back of your mind when you hit the course the first time. Remeber, smooth= fast times.

apparently, you live about 5 minutes from me.

I've been to the Knights stadium, it's a nice sized lot. You should have a great time. We'll be in Columbia for the St. Patrick's parade with the M2C2 MINI group that day. (actually.. I'll be watching them from the sidelines with beer in hand)

If you don't mind, PM me the info on this school.. I'd be interested in checking them out.
