No roof rack. it looks super clean.
![]() It sucks that you had problems so soon but it's good you got it sorted out really quick also. I vote you get 16's and see how those fit. As a matter of fact, buy my wheels. ![]()

Second gens will go ridiculoulsy low on 16s...especially if you run small tires. My clubman was almost on the ground when it was on 16s ....and that was when I was running struts that were too long

I'll probably stick with 17s. I thought 16s looked too small on my car when I had them. Plus... I reaallllyy like my style 5s!

Hey guys, here's what I did to prevent this from happening again. Hopefully this can help people in the future prevent this from happening.
Welded the lower mount as well as the swaybar endlink mount onto the new strut from my stockers. I also welded a couple parts around the strut so even if that mount fails, the strut won't fall through again. Probably not necessary, but the peace of mind is nice. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And just for good measures... ![]() ![]()

After a few performance runs, I have decided that my current suspension handles better than any set of my coilovers ever did. This is probably due to the fact that my coilovers were slammed way past where they were meant to be for performance, and usually I messed with preload slightly, but still. I can't even believe how well these things handle. I am able to raise the car to a pretty high PSI to the height that the car was supposed to be driven to perform well, where everything in the suspension works the way it's supposed to. I am officially converted.

The R56 body (especially the clubman) is just so much "chubbier". I personally prefer it, but the R53s definitely have a more nimble appearance and look far better on 16s than their newer counterparts.
