Love it, but it looks like their engineers learned their ride height setup from MINI.

Looks so good. So what size are the stock wheels? Probably looking at anything in the 16 to 18" range?

They're 17's. From what I've looked into, I'll probably run 18x9.5 with 245/35 tires. I might take a little more time with the mods on this one, though. I have a feeling it's going to be around a lot longer than most.

That's how I feel about the FR-S. It's so damned good out of the box that I hesitate to just start throwing parts at it. I'll probably start out with an intake and exhaust, just to bring out the sound.

I need to take some interior shots. It's my favorite place to be. Seriously, though, I really like this car!!!

Speaking of the interior, I'm not sure if you've discovered it yet, but in order to disable traction/stability control [almost] entirely, hold the TCS OFF (left) button on the center console until both the TRAC OFF and TCS OFF lights turn on. This will turn off TCS and VSC, but will leave ABS, EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), and the eDiff feature on. The BRZ and FR-S have an electronic brake-based eDiff that stays on all the time to apply the brake to a single wheel if a wheel lifts or traction is low enough on one side that it overwhelms the Torsen mechanical diff.

There's also something called the "pedal dance" that will disable the eDiff and EBD, leaving ONLY ABS on, but I haven't tried that yet. Lots of people like to disable it for track/autocross use.

I'll be sure to read that post again in about 550 more miles.

Very nice. Bet you are stoked.

My brother has an 86 and I have gotten to drive it a few times. It is amazing how spot on it is in stock form.

Not much to update, but the BRZ has been taken to the mountains three times in the short 6 weeks that I've owned it and as a result I've already put 2,800 miles on the car. The shot below is from last weekend on a trip to Grandfather Mountain in NC. So far I've only debadged it and added window tint. Starting to search for wheels, but having a lot of trouble deciding on something that I really like for the car. Still wanting to stick with a motorsport theme and keep it fun to toss around.

Thinking of going with a lightweight set of 18's. 9-10" wide fit easily, but keeping the weight (and budget) reasonable means less options. Enkei RPF1's are available in 18x9.5 at only 17.6lbs each. Only color options are flat black and SBC (black chrome), which I'm not totally sold on. Considering doing the flat black ones and then powdercoating them silver later on since they cost less than the SBC. It's too bad there aren't more motorsport style wheels out there that really compete with the RPF1. In terms of weight, quality, style, and fitment options, there just isn't anything else that compares.
