Craven also has little extension bits to make the 'arms' longer for the mount so it should work for just about anything.

Of course, I don't have any personal experience with it, so who knows.

One of my friends has an older GPS and was complaining about having to pay to download maps and get up to date info. Is this still the issue or do they have free updates now?

You can also download additional vehicles for the nuvi. I found one that looks like my MINI, same body/roof colors and it even has the black bonnet stripes. Makes it a little more interesting when people notice the MINI.

Yeah, I remember a big thread on NAM about swapping the car icon for a Mini.

Garmin also has software (browser plugins is more accurate) so you can use a Mac to update you nuvi if Mac is your preference. I use the Mac to do my updates and it works very well.

So, do we know an ETA on when this will get here? I'm assuming it won't be before the dragon.

There is an app on the iTunes App Store called GPS kit by Garafa LLC. It sounds like it may be what your looking for. The reviews are mixed and the last one says it works without service.

Found the Garmin Nuvi 200W on sale this morning at Target for $139. It's $40 off their normal price. Seems like a decent deal for a basic unit. I didnt get one yet. The sale goes until the 11th so i thought i would still shop around a bit. The only thing I wish it would do is speak the street names. I guess that's not really that big of a deal.

All of the nuvi units I have seen will display the name of the next cross street at the top of the screen. It is pretty easy to read so you shouldn't have a problem.

I love my Megellan.

I would not recommend the Alpine GPS at this time, even though I have it in the hearse.
