Well, the clutch is finally starting to act up with 112k and 10 years of driving. I am doing another OEM unit since my power adding mods are few and far between. However, I have contemplated installing a Fidanza lightweight flywheel to make the car a bit more rev happy. I would love any and all feedback on this mod as I am sure a few of the peeps on this forum have installed a lightweight flywheel too. Just trying to get some more data on this before he goes under the knife!

I've had a 14 lb flywheel in for about 9 years and 70,000 miles with no issues . The only caution I have for you is to not go too light . The stock wheel is 28 lbs so keep that in mind .

That's a good point Randy. I have the R50 so I am not sure how much a stock flywheel weighs. I have been seeing 13 pounds and the Fidanza lightweight option is 8.6 pounds. Seems like a good drop without being too excessive. Also thought of adding a cam..

We run lightweight flywheels in 2 R50 at work but they do have the Cooper S 6 speed conversion as well with a Cooper S clutch
