The hoses for the oil cooler are routed through where the driver side turn signal used to be

Nevermind where they are routed through... why would you make them that long? Just turn the oil cooler the other way around and use a smaller oil line. haha. Unless you are REALLY scavenging for that last 1/2quart of oil.

I think this guy may have owned a clapped out 240 SX before this and just carried over the cooler " system " complete.

May be so. And it's likely functional still, but it just seems a bit.. sloppy.. to me.

I had a rear chassis brace like that but it was so long ago I forgot where I got it or who made it. I think it began with a P
