Default Fernando: My new 2013 Abarth

Well, the deal was too good to pass up... I bid farewell to Lucius this weekend and walked out of the Fiat dealer with a killer deal on a car I had always wanted, a Fiat 500 Abarth. I have only driven it for a few days, but I am incredibly excited to begin modding this beast!

A few photos for your enjoyment, definitely more to come!

Mods planned as of now:
  1. HPSI Emperor Intake
  2. Euro Compulsion Boost Elbow
  3. HPSI Boost Relief Valve
  4. Rally Armour Mud Flaps
  5. Neuspeed Torque Arm Insert

I hope a Fiat is acceptable here

That is exactly what I have been doing thus far! I can feel the epic amount of potential the Abarth has and it making me want to mod again

Welcome to the club.

Before you commit to an intake, check out what Ambient Thermal Management offers. I feel they're at the head of the pack with their CAI and intercooler setup. My car has an ATM Holey Cowl intake on it now and I love it.

I will do that! Might I ask, what have you done by way of mods thus far? Do you have any plans to attend the Fiats on the Dragon meet in April?

The ATM HCI, Eibach Sportline springs (probably going to be swapping them up soon) and a rear seat delete.

I also had Redlinegoods make me an Abarth style shift boot to replace the crap one that come on the car. I was upset the stitching didn't match anything else in the car.

Are you running OEM dampers with the springs? If so, how is the ride?

Ride is basically the same as stock. These cars have Konis up from from the factory.

I just ended up completing my first mod, which was the Emperor Intake by HPSI. This was a simple and easy mod, taking about 20 minutes to install. The difference in response and torque is noticeable, as is the slight increase in intake noise and exhaust note. It truly just adapts Fiat's Cold Air Design to incorporate better heat dissipation and a larger intake bore.
