Default Looking for a new vehicle, and opinions

The wife's X3 will be paid off next month and the mini has been paid off for a while now and I've got the go ahead to buy a New, CPO, or used vehicle and turn the MINI into a full time track toy, if I want.

I'm looking for a wagon'ish vehicle because I love hatch backs, over 200hp (300hp would be better), all-wheel drive, auto (wife wants to be able to drive it) w/ paddles, generously spec'd out because I like toys and I tend to keep my cars for 10+ years, and under $50k, if possible. Warranty is a must.

The V60 R-design T6 might be a little over my budget, the way I want it optioned and in reality there isn't much cargo space the trunk floor is really high, but damn, it's sexy!

I've been leaning towards the X1 35i M-Sport, essentially it's a taller e-90 wagon, but it's not too tall. If I recall correctly it's the last BMW to have hydraulic steering so this would have to be the year I get it. It also has 300hp/300lb tq, awd, and can be well spec'd under $50K. Any opinions?

And there's there the possibility of the VW Jetta Wagon R but who knows if we will ever get it here in the states.

Haha! I posted pretty much the same question in the "best car for a new dad" article on jalopnik which the feature image was a c-30 polestar in rebel blue.

I assume you read it and that's why you posted the c-30, I'm a bit slow today.

I should of added that I want at least 4 doors.
