Default It's been an interesting day.....by the way I'm new!

Hi everyone!
My name is Rachel, I live in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. I may have even met some of you before due to my boyfriend ( who is "Roosey" on this forum ). I have been looking into purchasing a MINI now and the search has been more serious the last few weeks. I found the exact MINI i have been looking for today. From the pepper white paint job to the panther black interior. It is heavenly. But unfortunately after spending what felt like all day at the dealership, my MINI experience turned out to be a bit more than I had expected. So, long story short....
My boyfriend and I spent the day at the dealership trying to find a way to get me my car and after finally signing the last piece of paperwork he took off in it ( my manual driving isn't perfected yet ) and about half way home he signaled me to follow him off the highway because the MINI was overheating and smoking. We stopped and found that there was NO coolant in it ( we believe its a head gasket or a cracked head ). So we spent about an hour and a half waiting for our tow truck to come get it to take it back to the dealership to get it fixed ( thank god I have that 30 day warranty! ).
While I am in absolute love with this car I am quite disappointed that I have yet to drive it and I will need to wait a while to do so.

Hopefully all will be well soon and I will be able to post back in the next few weeks a picture of me behind the wheel!

Thought the perfect place to park would be the cemetery, the best place for my hopes of owning a MINI could rest.

A bad start to a good story. Don't worry, the MINI will eventually make up for it.

Default update :)

Glad to announce that my car can be picked up tomorrow! The dealership called today and said that the radiator clamp came off and drained the coolant. also the cam sensor needed fixed. I am still a little worried that it may have warped the head or created some larger issue.

Aaron secretly snapped this picture today when we took it out driving! so far so good no problems with the car! I had trouble at first driving the standard and was thinking about and looking at the rpm's too much so Aaron ended up putting a sock over it and making me learn that way. I am driving much better now and only stalled once since "the sock"

Nothing hotter than a girl that knows how to shift a manual transmission...

Welcome, and nice MINI! I know I've told my wife to put a sock in it before, but it hadn't occurred to me to put a sock on it....
