2006, Mini Cooper R50 Checkmate
I purchased Daisy on the 6th of March, 2007 from Daisy Hill Mini, hence the name. Learnt to drive with her and got my license in her, 2 years on she has not let me down. Daisy and I are close; my friends call me obsessed or OCD about her, I say passionate. I started off with very simple mods like the lower grill until I stumbled across NAM and MU. Then the fun started, she is a work in progress and loving every minute of it. Day of pick up. ![]() Pretty much un-modded except for the lower grill. ![]() Have installed the CAI, exhaust, checkered mirrors and new number plate. If anyone has been wondering, its the year I graduated and my initials. ![]() Purchased some King Springs (very popular spring company in AUS) and new wheels...18 inch chromies. ![]() I joined the local Mini club here in Australia and we have our monthly runs up the mountains or to the drive in movies. Had a Show and Shine back in September 2008, spent 3 full days cleaning her and the effort was well worth it. Came home with the 1st place trophy for the Cooper category. ![]() There literally was not one thing you couldn't see your reflection off of. ![]() It is amazing who, or what, you meet on these club drives! ![]() Last photo of her before the new trim and other pieces. ![]() This is with an S gas cap, painted trim, side grills, front grill, Joey modded headlights, Orciari bonnet vents and different lower grill. ![]() ![]() Exterior: Chrome Mirrors Cooper S gas cap Cooper S side skirts Custom lower grill De-badged rear 'Euro' wipers Halo FMH lights JCW spoiler JCW front bumper Joey Mod (painted inside of headlights) Orciari Bonnet Vents Colour matched side trim Colour matched side vents Colour matched grill Colour matched emblems Shaved rear wiper Silver 3rd brake light Stubby Antenna Tint Wheels: Work Meisters 17x8 et30 front, 17x9 et30 rear Tyres: Toyo T1R 205/40 front, 215/40 rear Interior/Audio: Custom Audio build incl. removal of rear seats - Sound deadening in boot/ rear seats and doors - 2 x 10" Polk Audio mm1040 subwoofers - Polk Audio 1100W, 5 channel amp - JVC CS-WDS1 wood cone splits - Pioneer DEH-P88RS headunit Blue LED interior lights. thanks man
![]() I agree, NA is so much fun, and with a decent intake and exhaust, the NA motors are so much more throaty than the SC R53's ![]() |

welcome to the underground. I'm not a big fan of chrome, but those rims look great w/ the check package & color.
