Good to hear you guys are alright, It's crazy to see a building moving faster than the cars on the interstate.

I posted up on her FB page to let us know when she got home. Apparently she may have had to sleep in her car on the side of the road in Nashville last night...

I'm glad that everyone is ok... When we were leaving the Dragon that morning, turned on the news and saw some of that... Just wow...

Yeah my in-laws live in the West End of Nashville. They called us as they were swimming out of their condo to go to a friend's house. Water was about to reach the second floor, and they didn't want to be trapped up there. Their cars were completely submerged and everything as they left...

really hope she didn't get stuck in that, this is the madness that I barely escaped:

The Tennessee Highway Patrol provided food and water to stranded motorists on westbound Interstate 40 at the rest stop at mile marker 172 near the Dickson exit. The motorists had been stranded there for about 15 hours.

Authorities reported that 91 trucks were stranded between mile markers 192 and 196 on eastbound I-40. Truck operators were offered help to evacuate, but all opted to stay with their rigs.

I did get stuck, but only for about 4 hrs, as I was at mile marker 203, so we got funneled off sooner.

Hope y'all don't run out of water w/ that filtration plant flooded, Jomo. :(

ashboomstick 05-03-2010 10:43 PM

glad to hear you made it back, Tracy. :)

Here's a really cool well done video of some of the flooding in Nashville.

It's drying up nicely here but I have 2 customers already that I know of that had their MINIs completely submerged.
I also just got word from a buddy at Gibson that they lost 14000 guitars in the main plant that is still under 3.5 feet of water. :thumbsdow

Hey John, I just heard on the AM news that our rescue squad is headed to Cheatham County to look for those unaccounted for. Do you have contact info for Mike Kane? I'd like to hear that he, family and dogs are ok.

risu 05-05-2010 07:03 PM
