The Cooper D has a hidden exhaust. This means that the rear lip has no exhaust cut out.

You make on of those for the cooper clubman in the same texture and I'll marry you I know 90% of the ideas in this thread are totally unfeasible though

Yah, this is a pretty common mod here on M|U

Anything is possible! I already have molding machines so bumpers valances/flares are very possible with time, money and precision.
I think i'll offer the fender arches to make it a one shot deal too, plus I want them for my car lol

The new website is under development right now!

Oh, well there ya go! Molding machines would make it much easier Awesome.

I think the blank rear valence is a really good idea. That way people could run it however they wanted. If they wanted a split dual exhaust they could cut holes. If someone wanted an oval exhaust, they could cut an oval hole...or just hide the exhaust and cut no hole.

if you have molds, here's my other idea. I've been dreaming of this with no way to make it. Imagine a grille where you could flush mount rally lights instead of having them poke way out in front of the car. There isn't enough room in the first gen's...but on the second gens, there is plenty of room to mount them since the grille doesn't go up with the hood.

I personally think this could sell really well...especially since I think you can bring the price point down below the OEM parts. Think about how many people install rally lights. This is a great method of doing so and it gives a much cleaner look than any of the current options where the lights protrude too much. Install would be pretty easy...run wires, and just pull off the oem grill which is just a few clips.

If you use this idea though...you gotta send me one.

Like this, but in MINI size/shape.

Here is the part shown on the clubman rally concept. A part that never made it as an option, but looks awesome.

Production of the mold would be easy. Purchase an OEM grille. Cut the holes and place in two sculpted rally light housings. Derive a mold from that and go to town!

I've got a million well-thought-out products and zero means to bring any of them to reality without a machine shop or plastic molds

You and I should do buisines, Rally! I had that idea for my MCS, as it came with driving lights and I hate the grill placements. If I can find lights flat enough to fit down there I'd love to design that. There is nor much space on the new cars, but I think I could make it fit. I'll try that. And if it is sucessful, i'll be sending you one!

How many would like the shaved a-panels (No Side Scuttles)?

Sounds great

First ones that came to mind for me were the piaa 510's. Their diameter is perfect for fitting in the grille. They're a little thick, but there should be plenty of room for them. They come in either fog or driving light configurations so people could choose based on their needs.

I would, assuming you mean for the second gens (they would fit both MCS,MC and clubmans)

I love the enthusiasm on doing this, mate!!! Just don't forget us R50/53 guys! We need love too!

I'd be down for shaved a-panels. I'm really interested in seeing your sunroof replacement concept though. A lot of us have had sunroof issues in the past (mine's currently inoperable and broken)...

oh I wont forget you R50/53 guys...My first love was a black '06 MCS that was totalled 4 months after it got here by some knob who slammed into me at 65 from the rear. stupid Utah drivers lol. Gotta love the the supercharger whine!

The sunroof concept is in the parts stage right now...looking like it will be aluminum construction based with the ragtop being the same canvas they use on conv tops. My biggest hurdle here will be figuring out what to do with headliners....either just cut them or make a whole new one!

i was looking at my wife's R55 the other day. i think if you could sell a new rubber trim piece, you could trust the buyer to trim the headliner and relocate/delete the dome light themselves.

Like this? There's already an OEM retrofit for the 1st gen.
