Yea, it's been discussed here several times, but it's fairly expensive. They just want a cheaper aftermarket version that they'll probably still be too cheap to buy.

Edit: And a version for the R55/56.

on the new cars, cutting the headliner shouldn't be a big deal it looks like.

Hmm. Well maybe i'll just offer the R55/56 roof then, and leave the R50/53 stuff to the other guys.

Also have a prototype parcel tray for the new cars too installed in mine - seeing if I could produce them, and of course if they would sell

Good luck on this! I see you got shut down on NAM. No loss...all they want is stick-on CF and plasti-dip.

LOL didn't pony up the vendor fee even though he isn't making or selling anything yet? HOW DARE HE!

I'm in for an R53 no holes valence (unless you do a dual exit with the same side-to-hole-center spacing and radius as the R50 cooper on both openings).

You may wind up with a few pms from people with ideas asking for the first one in exchange if you run with the idea.

if you're talking r55/56 I'm all sorts of in. And unlike the cloth sunroof, I'll actually step up and put my money where my mouth is!

Wide arch kit that utilizes the factory aero kit for the R53 would be amazing.

Damn NAM...I just barely saw they shut me down. Oh well, you guys have been much more helpful anyway

Rear valance removed from one of my R53 bumpers...making the first stages of tooling right now. Wish me luck!

I'd be all over a set of flares with an OEM texture. Not everyone wants painted arches.

A smooth S rear valance would be killer, too.

How about doing a group buy (or offering for sale at any time) on some hubs in a 5 lug pattern? There is a lengthy discussion on here about it that should provide a ton of insight.

The wide arches would be killer, and have been something desired around here for a while.

Accessories are not in short supply for MINI, but quality ones with an interest focused on something other than cheesing out your car are hard to find. There are a few MINI specific (or focused) performance brands with products ranging from terrible to stellar in design and quality, so it could be a market that could be a great backbone for your company if your products and customer service are top notch.

Then again, as with lots of enthusiast/forum driven brands, any company can get a poor image very quickly with just a few minor mistakes or problems. It's almost safer to create something nobody else is making or can feasibly consider making to keep the internet haters away from the brand.

Those are my current suggestions, on products and marketing too (even though you didn't ask for that) .

to threadjack just a bit, anyone think the new 5lug R60 hub may be retrofittable to the other cars? that might solve all our 5 lug issues...

The OEM euro arches are not that expensive (even shipped from overseas to the USA). If you guys want quality parts you need to be ready to pay for quality if you want a vendor to be able to make these type of parts and stay in business. /rant

It's already been discussed. They look like they may work on an R55/56/57, but we still don't know the lug pattern & thread pitch they've chosen or whether they will fit. Time will tell.
