Haha...not feeling the RSs huh? Yea I agree, I expected them to look better. I'm not a fan of the 05+ front ends so that doesn't help. I wish they had a little more poke on his car too. He does have probably the lowest static dropped sedan that I have seen though.

Yea I liked his car more when he was rocking the Keskin KT1s. He sold them to a good friend of mine that lives in Raleigh (pics were posted of his car with them on in the House of Euro). He's a great guy and the lowest static dropped focus that I know of. 21" from the ground to the top of his fender measuring from the middle of the hub. I don't know how he drives around ATL like that.

Yea I am SHOCKED that I am winning especially by the margin. I really don't see how they see my car as the best or even 2nd best It's a good feeling to get respect from your peers though. I voted for "stage3" the silver one on the Works. I still have no idea how he is fitting a 9.5" in the rear with a 35et.

Well, I won Focus of the Month this month! Still can't believe it. I voted for stage3 and I think either his car or MachFive should have won. Anyway, there is a little "speech" under the pics of my car in this thread for wining.

Thanks guys!

Since I realized that no updated pics with the new headlights were posted in my build thread, here are the only 2 I have. One was taken by Drew at this years H2Oi and the other one was taken when I got home from H2Oi.

And here is the result of about 750 miles of driving with at LEAST -4 degrees camber.....oops

Click the image to open in full size.

Took a chunk out of the shock dust boot. Didn't cause any damage to the wheels (it was actually more the clip on wheel weight that showed some wear), but still not a good idea. Still deciding if I should just back down on the camber a touch or run without the shock boots for shows or maybe even make them a little slimer. It's just a dust boot so I'm not too worried about it. Especially since I have a daily driver now.

What are the boots made out of? If they're plastic, you could notch them.

Very cool man! I totally voted for you on [fj], and holding a very respectable 3rd in Focus of the year is nothing to be ashamed about either.

Thanks for the vote Paul and the kind words Sketch!

I haven't worked on and hardly driven the Focus since I got the Miata as a daily driver, but I will be starting to work on her again VERY soon. By the end of next month (February) I plan to remove the hatch and take off the mid wing, rear Ford emblem and plastic trim. I will then weld up all the holes (including possibly shaving the hatch lock) and smooth out the area above the license plate where the emblem/trim use to be. Then it will just need paint.

I know a lot of you guys would like to see it without the Hella tail lights, but I am on the fence about losing them. I actually have a mint set of US tail lights that I will test fit to see how they look. Might have to run 1 Hella and 1 US tail light I also think I will keep the top (Lumma Tunning) wing on the car. I think it balances out the rear of the car having the Rieger rear at the bottom. Who knows though, because I have never had just the top wing on the car. I need to see how it looks with the mid wing gone.

So plans for the car this year are as follows:
1. Shave hatch and remove mid wing
2. Plaid or Suede interior inserts
3. Seat Leon Cupra R lip?
4. Do SOMETHING with my valve cover (paint? Chrome? fabric?)
5. Possibly redo the rear seat delete. I no longer have a fullsize spare wheel to match my Keskins so no need to display my spare. Not really sure what I want to do back there (no real need to put the rear seat back in), but I'm thinking about wood.

There are 2 changes that I could use some input on though.

1. REMOVING THE TINT - I have had my 20% tint on all 5 windows since 2003. My reason for removing it is to go with a more smoother simple Euro look. Also the drivers side window has a small chunk of tint taken out when my window regulator failed. Not too noticeable, but it does bother me. At the same time, I think the tint still looks good on my car. Also I don't really have anything to show inside the car besides my Corbeaus and hopefully some plaid/suede inserts some day.

2. STEALTH EXHAUST - Due to a little incident that scraped up my rear bumper at H2O I'll be repainting my whole bumper. I like stealth exhaust setups on really low cars where they just dump the exhaust under the car and no tip is seen. I have been thinking about doing the same by NOT running the tip through the mesh in the Rieger lip. Just cutting it shorter and turning it down. So it is all mesh with no tip poking through exactly like the passenger side. The hole in the mesh was a PITA to make look decent. It has to be big enough to allow the exhaust to move a little, yet not too big to look funny. It isn't perfect as I'm sure some of you have noticed that have seen my car in person.

Here is an older picture to show how it currently looks with the tip coming through the mesh.

You probably know my take on this already but I'll post it anyway.

Wood floor... Bad Ass!!! Do it!
Seat Cupra R lip, yup.
Remove tint, at this point, yes.
Stealth exhaust... See above, hell yeah.
Valve cover, paint, something classic... Nothing too trendy.
Plaid interior.
Shaved hatch, big
Stock taillights...... Yup.
